BJ Lowe, M.A., LPC-Temporary, NCC, Ed.D.

B.J. Lowe has received her temporary licensure as a professional counselor (LPC-Temp) and the National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification, as she continues to work toward a full licensure with the Mental Health Service Provider credential. Ms. Lowe is a graduate of East Tennessee State University (ETSU) with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also hold a Doctorate of Education (Ed. D.) in Leadership and Policy Analysis from ETSU. Ms. Lowe has been counseling with Wellsprings since August 2020, after a 23-year career in Higher Education. She is also a proud Veteran of the United States Army.

Ms. Lowe conducts First Responders, Veterans, Addictions, Individual (Geriatric, Adult, Teens, Adolescents,Children), Family, Couples/Marital, Career and Group Counseling. Her areas of experience include: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and behavioral issues.

Ms. Lowe is an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Association of Christian Counseling (AACC), American Mental Health Association (AMHA), National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), and the National Certified Counselors (NCC).

B.J. is experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Gestalt Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and a Certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts) Assessment Facilitator.
